 DRIVING INSTRUCTOR
 

So you want to be a Driving Instructor - or an A.D.I. as they are officially known.

Apart from the obvious need to pass the various tests and qualify to be entered on the Register, (which DRIVERS WORLD outlines elsewhere in The Road to Becoming a Driving Instructor), what else do you need to know?

The answer is quite a lot if you want to be a successful A.D.I.

You will have spent a lot of time and money acquiring your Instructors’ license and you will not want to waste it. The training you will have received usually focuses on the ‘testing’ syllabus of The Driving Standards Agency and rarely prepares you for the business aspects of being an A.D.I.
